Live Freeze or Die (LFD) 2012

Hi Everyone,

My name is Marc Flore and I am the TD for LFD this year. I will be working closely with Chelsea Mower (Deuce) and Chris Chirgwin (Chirgs), the UNH representatives, as well as others from the Seacoast Ultimate community to put on this great event.

Looking forward to freezing with you,

Marc

LFD info

Date: Saturday, February 18th

TD: Marc Flore

Cost: $175 per team. This includes food (see below) and parking (which happens to be free :) Your bid will be secured when I have your money in my possession. We prefer Paypal. Please contact me (Marc Flore) and we can figure something out.

Sanctioning: We are in the process of getting USA Ultimate sanctioning for this tournament, so make sure your players are USA Ultimate members, or have them be prepared to sign a waiver and pay the one time fee ($10).

Gender ratio: 4/3 mixed (4 men, 3 women). I am strongly encouraging this gender ratio (I like women). If you wish, you may negotiate a different ratio with the other captain. If both captains do not agree then you must play 4/3. For example, you have only 2 girls and the other captain has 6. The other captain doesn't budge. You must play a person down!

Captains meeting: 8:30 AM

Games: start at 9 AM and end at 4:30 PM

Byes: No byes, it's February!

Teams: 12 teams

Fields: Bremner field (tournament central) and Student Rec field. Click here for a map.

Parking: Parking is free. Please carpool. I recommend parking in A lot where there is plenty of space and an underground tunnel (tunnels are so cool) that crosses Main St. From there, it's a short walk to Bremner field. Here is a map of UNH campus. Coordinates of A lot for your GPS: 43.140624,-70.936993. Or you can plug in 295 Mast Road, Durham, NH 03824 which will get you close.

Food: If you've been to LFD then you know this is what it's all about! There will be homemade soup, and various other food items (bread, cookies). If you would like to bring soup or other food to share, I encourage you to do so. However, Seacoast Ultimate and UNH will provide enough hot soup to keep you warm. Bring a bowl + spoon. We here in New Hampshire like the environment so there won't be any plastic/styrofoam bowls/cups or plastic spoons. Bring extras to provide for those who forget.
