Call for discs
Hi everyone, I have a student who is going on a community service trip to Haiti and she is looking to collect Frisbees to bring with her to give to the children she will be working with. Please see her message below. If any of you kind ultimate players would be willing to donate a Frisbee or two it would be greatly appreciated. You can either drop them off at Oyster River High School (55 Coe Drive, Durham), at my house in Portsmouth (37 Coffins Court—you can leave them on the bench by the front door) or I could also pick them up from you if you aren’t too far away.
Thanks so much!
My name is Abby Colby, and I am a sophomore at Oyster River High School and a former student of Ms. Raiford. In December, I will be leaving for Haiti on a volunteer trip, and one of the projects we have been working on, is to bring Frisbees down there for the kids to have. If any of you have old Frisbees lying around that weren’t in use would you be willing to donate them? I leave for Haiti on December 4th, and although it is very last minute, all help is appreciated.
Thank you so much,
Ultimate opportunities in ME
Looking to work off some of that Thanksgiving pie? Black Friday, Cyber Monday, why not Ultimate Saturday.
Maine Ultimate will be hosting the first of what we hope to be many Ultimate Saturdays. On Saturday November 30th, starting at 9am, come join other ultimate players as they work off that turkey dinner. This is a hat tourney, so who knows what team you will be on!! Winning team will receive the limited edition 2013 Maine Ultimate reversible jersey.
Indoor pickup starts Friday, November 1st!
Details can be found here.
Pre-register for the entire 8 week session by Nov 1st for $60 (4 free nights!).
Late registrants (11/2 and later) can pay $75 for the entire 8 week session (3 free nights!).
Only going to make a few nights? $15/night to drop-in. Cash only. Exact change, please.
Thank you to all the players who submitted their post-game dinner receipts from our sponsor restaurants. All of the receipts were mixed in a hat, and two names were drawn: Ryan Tebbetts and Mark West were the winners! Each will receive a $25 gift certificate to Las Olas. Hopefully next year we can keep it rolling and collect a higher percentage of receipts to give us a more realistic view of money spent at our sponsor’s establishments.
Leary Field Pickup Under the LIghts
6:30-8:30 PM Wednesday Nights
Wednesday September 18th until the snow and ice scare us all off.
To cover the cost of the halogens, we are asking for an online donation of $10 if you plan to play the season, and there will be a Hat on the sideline to throw your money into if you only drop in occasionally. (Whatever amount helps you to sleep at night.)

Youth Ultimate Learning League in Exeter NewsLetter
Exeter NewsLetter posted an article on Seacoast Online on the Youth Ultimate Learning League along with some neat photos (3 online, 2 in print version). There is also a second article praising the Youth League (may require subscription).
One thing that didn not come out in the article is how incredible our volunteer instructors/helpers have been - we simply could not be running the league without them. Thanks to you all, Chuck, John, Julian, Bryan, Alex, Liz, Food, Eliot, Pat, and Justin!
Forum is up and running!
Check out our forum! Remember the Yahoo Group? Remember all the crappy SPAM you got from it? Well, we have our own forum on this here site without any SPAM! So go check it out, respond to my announcement, tell me how much I suck for not laying out.
2013 Live Freeze or Die wrap-up
LFD was a huge success. SU sent 2 pickup teams this year. It was great to see so many local playing in LFD. Thanks to those of you who brought soup or other goodies to share. And thanks for Marko & Mike for handling the food station, this is what sets LFD apart (and the snow).
